It's a raining Friday evening in southern Ohio, so that makes it a perfect time to blog. I ran across this quote and it expresses exactly how I feel about the standard, that our heavenly Father has put in place for His church, is continually being lowered by men and women who want to appease their flesh and not walk according to the Spirit. And in doing so they lead others that are immature or weak in their faith astray. Here's the quote:
"The world can no longer be left to mere diplomats, politicians, and business leaders. They have done the best they could, no doubt. But this is an age of spiritual heroes - a time for men and women to be heroic in their faith and in spiritual character and power. The greatest danger to the Christian church today is that of pitching its message to low."
Dallas Willard, 'The Spirit of the Disciplines'
I give this a hearty 'Amen.'
Be blessed all you Kingdom Seekers and God glorified,
Have a good weekend,
Your Kingdom Seekin' Mama,
